Serving Canada
Military service is not compulsory in Canada. Joining the Canadian Forces is a free choice. You can serve full time in the navy, army or air force, or part time in the reserves. Young people can learn about the Forces in the Cadets. You can also serve your community in the Coast Guard or in emergency services, such as the police or the fire department.
